Patient Involvement

We are keen to hear from you as users of our services. To enable your voice to be heard there are a number of different ways to become involved and we would encourage you to become active in the diabetes community.

We have an active Managed Clinical Network Patient Group which aims to enable people with diabetes and their carers/families to participate in the planning and development of services and be actively involved in raising awareness of diabetes related issues.

There are also three active local support groups, one for children and families and two for adults meeting in Wishaw and Cumbernauld.

There is a national Diabetes Patient Group (Diabetes Care Focus Group) which aims to improve the lives of people with diabetes in Scotland. The group is made up of representatives from all over Scotland.
