Dr Leeanne Nicklas is a clinical psychologist who has worked with patients experiencing a range of chronic health conditions including Diabetes, Coronary Artery Disease, Chronic pain and HIV.
We know that managing diabetes is challenging and requires changing behaviour e.g. diet and exercise, in order to manage it better.
She is currently employed in a national project which aims to help diabetes staff develop their expertise in understanding and supporting patients to change their health related behaviour so they can live healthier lives.
For further information about the national project, please view the PiD and PaD Project or click on link located under Related Links.
Leeanne has pulled together some local resources for emotional support and produced some information that can be given to patients with anxiety or depression.
